We were out in Exton this week fixing up a dangerous front entrance where the original concrete walkway had settled and cracked away from the main door steps. The uneven drop was a trip hazard and allowed rainwater to pool right against the home's foundation. We saw-cut out the sunken section, prepped a fresh aggregate base, and tied the new pour directly into the existing steps using heavy steel dowels to prevent future settling. We poured a durable concrete mix, finished it with a neat broom texture for non-slip traction, and sealed the expansion joints to block out winter moisture.
